This timely event comes strongly recommended, and it’s tomorrow Saturday 31st October 2026, 7pm, at the Library of Mistakes, Edinburgh!

Simon Barrow’s introduction.
“Scottish guitarist / composer Graeme Stephen performs from his Metropolis soundtrack, alongside talking about human-tech connections and AI.
Internationally-acclaimed Scottish guitarist and composer Graeme Stephen will perform an excerpt from his score for Fritz Lang’s classic 1927 film Metropolis, which evokes an aesthetic of the technological future along with a dystopian warning.
He will then take part in a shared discussion with writer/researcher Simon Barrow and others about how technology (including AI?) supports and enhances creativity, but cannot replace it. When the talking stops, the music will start again, with Graeme improvising on what we have discussed.”
