- Superb violinist and singer Seonaid Aitken’s latest album Chasing Sakura 🌸🌸 is an absolute delight. Here’s a review FM (of Scottish Jazz Space) did for London Jazz News.
- 🌸 Ali Affleck’s Auld Toon Stompers are coming to Kirkcaldy Old Kirk on 28th May from 8pm (doors 7.30pm). This will be a really fun night! 💃 “Passionate, expressive, unique and above all, refreshingly unpretentious…Ali Affleck is the real deal – a bona fide jazz and blues vocalist with a heartfelt vintage twist.” Further details below.
- Shout out for very special band 🔥 Fine Men With Foul Tongues 🔥who play tonight Thursday 5th at 9pm Glasgow’s The Blue Arrow (tickets below), then tomorrow Friday 6th May at 9.25pm at Edinburgh’s The Jazz Bar. A top notch line -up of Brodie Jarvie (Upright Bass), Guy Salamon (Drums), Ben MacDonald (Guitar), Paul Harrison (Piano), Norman Willmore (Alto Sax), Jonathan Chung (Tenor Sax), Michael Butcher (Tenor Sax).
- New collective Jazz Forward is appearing a week on Saturday 14th May at 7:30pm as part of Lochwinnoch Arts Festival!! Venue: Lochwinnoch Golf Club.
